NCTIA is the statewide, non-profit organization representing and advocating for all components of North Carolina’s travel industry. We ensure the concerns and interests of the travel community, and those employed by it, are effectively represented within the legislative process.
NCTIA is the leading force that grows and sustains travel while protecting the interests of our communities. When advocating on behalf of the travel industry, NCTIA champions policies that are pro-growth, pro-traveler, pro-tourism professional and pro-community. Our efforts are focused on achieving our shared vision for the industry which is understood as essential to North Carolina’s reputation as a welcoming state for business, our economy, employment, and the well-being of our destinations and our visitors.
As the voice of the industry, NCTIA prioritizes high-impact issues that matter most to our collective membership. We not only identify the industry’s biggest opportunities and challenges, but also develop the messages and actions to create positive growth.
NCTIA contracts with New Frame, LLC to represent NCTIA’s interests, goals and legislative positions inside the North Carolina General Assembly and throughout the executive branch. Brian Lewis and Skye David serve as NCTIA’s registered lobbyist. New Frame represents a new way of effectively lobbying and communicating with a bipartisan approach that employs multimedia platforms to educate members and lawmakers alike on the issues. They don’t back away from the tough issues facing our destinations, but understand that getting the tough issues addressed by the General Assembly requires a new way of working with policymakers, not only inside the General Assembly, but away from Jones Street and in our communities. “New Frame has been with NCTIA since 2016, members and lawmakers continuously tell us we could not have hired a better team.” Vince Chelena, NCTIA Executive Director
NCTIA delivers weekly newsletters to our members every Friday at 3pm. New Frame uses these newsletters to keep our members informed on the latest news from the General Assembly.
