The Destination Marketing Organization of North Carolina (DMANC) falls under the umbrella of NCTIA. The group meets frequently to coordinate special projects and network among peers. Examples of these projects include the DMO compensation and benefits survey, collaborative marketing initiatives and legislative advocacy.
NC Visitor Attractions
This vital segment of North Carolina’s tourism industry has been under-represented for decades but has unified under the NCTIA umbrella. Visitor attractions can now collaborate and discuss the common issues vital to their success and advocate through a larger and more active voice. NCTIA provides unparalleled representation to all North Carolina visitor attractions through its legislative lobbying team.
Tourism Education Foundation of NC
The Tourism Education Foundation of North Carolina (TEFNC) is a non-profit corporation established by NCTIA. Every year TEFNC holds a silent auction at the Visit NC 365 conference to raise money for the foundation. The auction proceeds are designated towards academic scholarships and continuing education programs for North Carolina's tourism industry professionals and students. The objective is to enhance the industry by developing knowledgeable, dynamic and enlightened leadership.
Tourism Industry Partners
The Tourism Partner’s SIG was created for professionals who are too active in day-to-day operations to dedicate time and energy lobbying legislators but want to remain active. This group consists of hotels, restaurants, vacation rentals executives and many other tourism related business leaders who have a keen interest in North Carolina’s success. Communications is key to staying informed and no other industry association does it better than NCTIA. The weekly issue of NC Travel News provides a one page, easy to understand overview of legislative activity and outcomes. The Tourism Partners SIG shapes the way we communicate.
