Hospitality Olympics 2022
The Hospitality Olympics is a celebratory event focused on shining a light on every role needed to successfully run a hotel. Employees compete in events such as Bed Making, Electric Cord Untangle, a Mop Race and a Taste Test in an attempt to win the coveted Golden Toilet Brush and bragging rights for the year. The overall effect is a boosted morale and a general feeling of appreciation. The 2022 Games took place at the Charlotte Convention Center on August 11.
GMID Career Day 2022
GMID Career Day is a recruiting event for high school students who are interested in entering the hospitality industry post-graduation. Attending students are juniors and seniors who may not be considering a secondary education and want to find a fulfilling career that allows for upward mobility. The 2022 Career Day hosted 410 students, 15 employers, 3 universities/colleges with hospitality programs and countless success stories.
